Change,
good and bad, is something that we all must deal with.
October 12, 2009 was
a very difficult day for Landy when his beloved wife
Elaine passed away unexpectedly in her sleep. Landy, now
90 years old, was devastated and is still dealing with
the loss. Landy
decided it was time to make a move to be closer to his
family, so he packed up and moved back to his home state
of Wisconsin. Landy is now settled in his new apartment
in the Milwaukee suburb of Greenfield, Wisconsin.
Landy
is still getting use to his new surroundings, but with
most of his children, grandchildren and
great-grandchildren all living close by, this new chapter
in his life is starting to take shape. Landy recently
traveled to Los Angeles, California, with his daughter
Sharon to be part of the Grand National Roadster Show's,
"The History of the Race Car" event where his midget race
car was part of the exhibit.
Oh, one
more thing, Landy is enjoying a weekly Friday night "Fish
Fry" of Lake Perch, one of his favorite meals, a staple
of Wisconsin culture.

other pages (see left column) documenting his incredible
life.
